Goh Geok Cheng
Goh Geok Cheng was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of IPP in late August 2020. Geok Cheng is an experienced professional in life insurance, financial and investment management, audit, risk control and governance from leading international life insurer both in local operations and across Asia Pacific. She is currently the Group Chief Performance Officer with FWD Group responsible for driving the performance of the Group.
Geok Cheng began her career as an auditor with Ernst & Young. Since then, she has worked with various regional and global financial institutions, including DBS and Prudential. She held various roles in Prudential Singapore from 1997 to 2015 as Chief Financial Officer responsible for the financial, actuarial and investment, Risk Management, government relationship and served as the company secretary responsible to the Board. She has also held regional role in Prudential group as Regional Chief Risk Officer from 2015 to 2018.
Geok Cheng currently serves as a Finance Committee member of the Tripartite Alliance Limited, a non-profit organisation to drive for progressive workplaces and harmonious work relations as well as a member of the Investigation and Discipline committee of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants. Geok Cheng has previously served as an Audit Committee member of the Special Needs Trust Company Limited and member of the CFO Committee of Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.
Geok Cheng is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK and of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants. Geok Cheng also holds a Masters of Science (Professional Accountancy) with Distinction from University of London. She has completed the executive management and leadership programmes at IMD Business School, Stanford Law School, Tsinghua University and the Singapore Management University.
